Valley of the Gods is on BLM land, meaning we can simply drive on out here into this amazingly beautiful country and park ourselves wherever we’d like. There’s a lot of reasons to love the RV life, but being able to have your front door open out onto this is probably the best.
The small canyon right in front of us had a little creek running through it where the kids could splash around and explore, and the smooth road ran forever through this country for the bikes. Throw in a nightly bonfire and plenty of space for a baseball game, and we were a pretty happy little family here.
The toy hammer just wasn’t getting the job done.

Doncha love the desert. Wish it was about 3 states closer to us.
Hi
I am still following you and enjoying the photos.
Are there any flies out there.
What camera are you using.
How are you posting the blogs.
Is it via satellite.
Are you going to home school the kids.
We worked in Boganville with 2 small kids and found it a bit of a problem with the son when we came back to live in suburbia and was fenced in the back yard after roaming around the villages and exploring in the bush.
ENJOY THE TIME WHILE YOU CAN
Cheers from sunny Queensland
Hi BruceEllen,
Nope no flies. (I can still remember the flies in the Outback in Oz. They went right for your mouth. Yuck.)
We are using the Canon 6D.
We have a Verizon Jetback, MiFi. Not satellite, cell phone towers.
We are not homeschooling right now, but may down the line.
Sorry to hear about your son, fences suck. We have no plans to move to the suburbs ourselves.
Jetback…?
That’s Raycisss.!
We have a jetpack.
It’s PC.
😉
Idaho. Soon.
I run out of words to describe the beauty you share from your travels and through the camera lens…. simply breathtaking! Thanks again!
Time for a Bumfuzzle coffee table photo book???? Love the journey, love the photos, love that you’re still keepin’ on! Xoxo
I love seeing through your camera view!
Awesome as usual. The colours are breathtaking…
The baseball looks like a moon in Saturn’ rings.
Was there a 15 second conversation at the table as to who fields this question?
🙂
My, what a world!
Hi. We are a fellow traveling family on the road in Utah right now. Perhaps our paths will cross?
That old carpet Ali and Ouest are sitting on has seen some days!
How about some photos of the wild life [ no snakes ].
Have you seen road runner lately? Beep Beep.
Cheers from sunny Queensland
nice to see your children enjoying the rv life. my kids are now in their late 20’s and they still remember the times in the travco trapesing about the country. took the bunks and now have a big queen size bed in the back.
