So when we bought this boat the plan was pretty much that Ouest was the only kid who would be occupying space on it. Of course cruisers and plans don’t fit together very well, so it’s not overly surprising that we ended up with both of our bedrooms dedicated to little ones. That leaves Ali and I out in the cold—sort of.
We actually get this question pretty routinely, “So where do you guys sleep?” Here it is: the kitchen table gets put down, a cushion we had made gets put on top, sheets go on, and we’re sleeping, or whatever. It works pretty well actually. Which isn’t to say that once the kids are both on the same sleep schedules that they won’t be sharing a room, but I’ve got no complaints for now. I’d sleep in the dinghy if I had to, so long as they are both sleeping twelve hours through the night.
