Today consisted mainly in getting ready to leave. We needed to clean up our mess on the dock since if you didn’t know we had two kids you would have assumed we needed one of those Hoarder’s interventions. Straighten up the lines, fill the water tanks, give the boat one last fresh water spray down, make a run to Walmart, the grocery store, the marina office, and then get the inside of the boat picked up, kids washed, and everybody into bed.

It feels like we’ve been here forever and we’re excited to get moving again. Our mood changes when we get out on the water. We forget about schedules and the days just sort of slip away happily. We argue less, laugh more, and have less dirty clothes. All good things.
