Lowe spotted a ball floating in the muck and just had to have it. It was half deflated, but that didn’t matter, it became the main toy for a week.
Dogs are everywhere you look around Lake Atitlan. Ali is raising a bit of money for the great people from Unidos Para Los Animales that helped us get Chavo taken care of and sent off to a new home in the States. The fundraiser is almost complete. If you enjoyed the Chavo story, please consider heading over to GoFundMe to donate a little bit to the rescue.

If you’re going to make tortillas indoors you’ve got to vent that wood stove somehow. All over town ladies stand around in small groups huddled over a stove making fresh tortillas. For 2Q (30 cents) we get a stack of ten that are so hot we can hardly hold the bag.
