A quiet day at the lake. Up above the town of San Juan La Laguna is a short hike to a nice mirador looking out over Lake Atitlan. On the way up we had a nice view of Indian Nose across the valley.
Back in town we saw these two friends sitting together. We then watched them go through a cartoon skit.
Indifference.
The cat used the dog’s paw to rub his back a few times before the dog finally got fed up with the interruption.
The dog pulls his legs in tight so the cat can’t rub herself on him any more.
They settle in for a long day of doing nothing next to each other.
This little Ferris wheel looked like it was built around the same time as this church.
We had our little hike, an unimpressive lunch, a poke around the shops, and a slow stroll throughout the town. Pretty typical laid back day in one of the villages around the lake.

All your photos are good, but I especially love the second one of the ferris wheel with the wooded hills behind. Such a beautiful and unexpected juxtaposition.
I like that one too. That little fair just sat there like a photo op. Would have loved to have seen it at night all lit up.

Even the kids were laughing at how silly they were being. When the dog pulled in his legs so the cat couldn’t rub herself any more they were like, poor cat.
