Today was one of those days where Lowe didn’t take his morning nap until later than usual, which led to him taking his afternoon nap later than Ouest, which meant in total about six hours of kids sleeping at different times. We didn’t do squat today.
Well I did go out to the boat at six o’clock this morning just to check on things like leaks and bilge pumps. I was happy to find that there was no water inside the boat and the bilge pumps, which do have to pump out the water that drips past the prop shaft, were doing their job properly. One just never knows with bilge pumps.
Ouest is happy to have her grammy and grand-aunt here. Whenever Ali or I tell her our plans for the day she immediately looks us in the eyes and asks, “Nammy, Beth?” We’re starting to wonder if this might be the first time that she gets upset when they leave. Usually when family leaves us, she seems to forget within the hour that they were here, but she definitely seems to have a firmer grasp on things these days. It’ll be interesting.
This is Lowe wanting to take a nap. Yes, that is a black eye. No, we don’t know which one of the dozens of daily falls caused that one.

If I didn’t already like your blog (I started at the beginning and am binge-reading), I would now for your proper use of “grand-aunt”!
Right?! What is our aunt to our kids? Especially when Grand-ma is visiting (or Grammy for us). Makes perfect sense.
Keep at it, only a few more years to go! 😉
