After a couple days in a row of climbing hikes we hopped on the internet to search out something a bit more leisurely. Red Rock State Park fit the bill.
It wasn’t until we were here and wandering around the place that we realized we’d been here a few years back. The kids were smaller then, and wore cowboy hats.
Sure wasn’t this green last time we visited.
My brother is a biology professor and studies bats on occasion. Guano Happens is a favorite. That t-shirt prompted us to have to explain the saying Shit Happens to the kids. I have to say, I was rather amazed that eleven years had passed without any knowledge of that saying.
The fancy gas fire pit refused to work, of course, but served as a good table for our mini fire pit’s S’mores building.
