We drove out to Mar Chiquita beach a week or two earlier and found it overrun with people so we turned right around and left. Figuring, rightly, that we could have the place to ourselves if we came in the morning. So, we loaded up early one morning, and while we didn’t have it completely to ourselves, we only had to share it with a camera crew and a swimsuit model. We had a great morning, and were done and on our way when the cars started to file in at eleven. What a beautiful spot.

Too bad the surf wasn’t up. I was there in 69′ (long story) and it was up! Jumped in at the mouth and body surfed in on it. Wave breaks on that curved beach all around at the same time. Wish I had a board then…
Was living by the freshwater lagoon to the East of there to build a rock festival site.
