We had plans in Kemah, so Galveston got a bit shortchanged by us. We were there for a couple of really bad weather days and then took off as soon as it got nice out again. We liked Galveston though. We didn’t really know what to expect there, but can definitely see the appeal of the place in nice weather.

On our way into town today we stopped off at the Kemah Boardwalk to let the kids have some fun. Because really, there just isn’t enough fun in their lives.

It was getting on late afternoon by the time we pulled into the Waterford Marina where friends had—at least according to them—loosely arranged permission for us to roll up for a couple of nights in the parking lot, which is where we sit right now.
