Ouest and I tend to disappear in the mornings while Ali puts Lowe down for a nap and takes care of all the other stuff there is to do to keep us all clean and fed. Last night there was a beauty of a storm so today’s walk was cool, fresh, and stripped clean. I love our morning walks.
Later on we all went out to stroll the malecon, do a little tourist shopping, and have a bite to eat. Ali and I have been talking about getting a ukulele for a while. Something to have around the house for any of us, Ouest specifically, to pick up and attempt to learn one of these days. So when her attention was grabbed by a cheapo in a knickknack shop today we made up our mind and headed for the music store to buy something with a little more quality to it. Behold, the next Mexican Idol.
The clerk at the store was a young Mexican who just graduated from Berkeley. How much for a music major from Berkeley to give ukulele lessons in PV? Seventy pesos an hour. Five bucks. Hope this nice kid doesn’t have student loans.
I don’t know how I’m going to be able to handle having this sissy little girly girl around the house. I mean look at her all scared to death. What a wimp. I wish she could just have some fun.
