We don’t spend time on the computers around the kids if we can help it, but lately I’ve been going off to “work” for an hour or two a day. So Ouest woke up this morning and heard Lowe in the other room playing with this little plastic laptop toy. “Lowe’s working,” she said. It’s amazing how quickly she came to associate the computer with work.

We are officially the worst boat workers ever. We haven’t done anything but get moved in. Haven’t even managed a wash yet. We have gone swimming every day though.

Ouest is a fishing fool. The girl can cast amazingly well when she spots a fish hovering around in the marina. She doesn’t seem to realize that the small plug of wood I’ve tied to the end of her line isn’t actually going to catch anything. “Nothing,” she says each time she reels her line in. Makes me smile every time. “Just keep trying honey; have fun. We’ll have pasta for dinner instead.”

Lowe’s nap coincides with Ouest’s lunch lately, so we go off and have a picnic to give Ali a few minutes respite. It’s a great way to get her to actually eat. Though she still tries to pawn a few bites off on me.
