Ouest is moving on from merely swimming to attempting to swim underwater. She’s awesome. I love taking her in the pool and just letting her go nuts. She does crazy dives, swims from one end to the other, and now ducks her head under and takes a couple of paddles. Won’t be long and she’ll be going side to side underwater.

I know she’s not the first two-year-old to do this, but man I can’t help being super proud of her for her balls out attitude. Lowe’s going to be right behind her soon too. I take him underwater for about five seconds at a crack now and he comes up like it was no big deal. It’ll be great when I can send the kids out with a couple of spears and ask them to get us some lobster for dinner.

I put new tires on Ouest’s bike today because the old ones seemed to be made out of black chalk. Messiest things ever. While doing this I got my first real taste of what it’s like to have not one, but two helpers. They were both so into it that I just had to throw my hands up and let them go about their business. Needless to say the two of them were unable to get the new tires on. So I didn’t pay them.
