We’ve been talking about hanging a swing up on deck for months, but for some reason just hadn’t done it. Then a couple of days ago the boat across the dock hung a hammock up on their deck—Ali saw it, the kids saw it, and just like that it was time to get a hammock swing.
I told Ouest to hang on and I would pull her to the top of the mast, but she declined. I thought for sure she was going to say okay. Give the two of them a year and they’ll probably work out a way to do it themselves when we’re not looking.

be careful that could be considered “furniture”
next thing you know you guys are buying a dinette set and floor lamps!
It’s a slippery slope indeed. You know we also own a beanbag chair. 🙂
Well, what kind of hammock is it?
We have practically the same one only in blue. I got it in Mexico years and years ago and it’s held up to boat/ kid abuse all this time and only this winter gave up the ghost. Aside from being loads of fun, it’s been an important tool for our big one to get away from the little one and have some space of his own. Swings are a very good thing http://zachaboard.blogspot.com/2012/04/swing-spot.html
