Where I grew up, fairs happen in summer, the only two months out of the year that a person can be outdoors that long without catching frostbite. To have a fair in November is laughable. We caught a beautiful day for the Gulf State Fair.
The instant the performer says he is looking for helpers I know I’m headed up on stage. It happens every time.
Watching Ouest go up and up and up.
What’s better than racing pigs? Come on.
Turkey selfie. Perfect. Hashtag #TurkeyLegLife. Send.
The end of another great day at the fair.

I had no idea fairs were in the Fall in the South. You have a brave young lady who doesn’t mind heights.
My family (in Minnesota) said the same thing. 🙂
Summer time in Texas? Temps above 100 and no shade? Your shoes will get melted asphalt on them if you stop for too long. Fairs are best in Oct/ early Nov down here. We had to play soccer in the summer time (football coach said it was a Commie game for sissies and refused access to the school grounds) when the rednecks weren’t around. I can remember playing when it was 112. Young and dumb.
Wow, yes good time to be traveling through for us. Although so many of the watering holes are closed for the season, and I was shocked to see that most places you need to reserve times to be able to swim there.
Love the racing pigs! Especially their names!
The race announcer was hilarious. It was a good time.
