Ali has had full-time kid duty the past few days which means lots of entertaining. The park is right across the street so she’s been spending a lot of time over there. Neighborhood walks are popular. The mall, which has double strollers shaped like race cars, is also a favorite. Ouest is also old enough now to do Grammy’s errands with her. Which is great except for the fact that every time she comes home she has some new five-dollar toy in her hands.
Ouest got a new book today. When she got it home she asked me to read it and I told her we would before nap time. She then gave a big fake yawn and said, “Me sleepy now Papa.” The girl loves her books.
Lowe says Mama and Papa now which cements his place as the sweetest boy ever. He is actually still using, “Da. Da. Da,” to get our attention, but when we hear him saying it we tell him our name and he repeats it back perfectly.
While he may be sweet during daylight hours he has been a nightmare at night. It’s weird how kids go through these cycles with their sleeping. One month every thing is going great, and the next month hardly an hour goes by without a wake-up. About the time we get all worked up about it a tooth pops out and he goes back to sleeping good. Ouest did the same thing and then one day it was all over. Now she is a champion sleeper.
