I arrived in Isla Mujeres on Saturday, followed by loads of family on Sunday. Ali’s mom, sister, niece, and nephew all flew in for a week of fun.

Not sure what was going on here—one catamaran towing another, with a sail flapping wildly for at least an hour. Busted furling/stuck halyard, I suppose.

Aunt Toni has the best laugh.

Somehow Curt managed to get pulled over in a golf cart. That is no easy feat considering there are next to no cops, and about a million carts on the island. He got off without a ticket while Ali spied on him from up the road.

There are at least two of these on the island—just kit cars, but you still have to appreciate the effort to bring a little driving style to the roads here.

We took the gang out for a little cruise one day. Turned out to be the windiest day of the week, of course. Landlubbers aren’t quite ready to head out to open ocean just yet.

That’s a map of Isla Mujeres he’s painting.

Thanks for coming, everyone. This was a great way for us to kick off 2019. Now, time for us to slip back into island time.
