The weather was absolutely incredible during our visit to Cannon Beach. Clear skies, warm-ish temps, and even a full moon. We’re always up early, so each day we got to watch the moon slowly sink into the sea while the sky gradually lightened up behind us.
The full moon caused an extra high tide in the morning, necessitating some quick runs along some sections of the beach.
Once upon a time, someone let a couple of pet rabbits loose in Cannon Beach. They did what rabbits do, and today they are everywhere. Fun for us tourists, probably a nightmare for locals.
Best part of a trip into town is the saltwater taffy.
Well, this is about as good as we can manage with the selfie shots.
Our daily ritual became a 3:00 bonfire on the beach. By 4:15 the temp would start to tumble, and by about 4:30 it was dark.
The next day we realized the super high tide wasn’t going to be a normal thing and we’d have to move our fires further down the beach in the future.
A nice full day soaking up Cannon Beach. At least as full as you can get when the sun is only up for about eight hours.

Fantastic photos, great family time. We visited Cannon Beach back in Sept. 2014, just a one-day pit stop during a western trip, but I still have wonderful memories. Our dog enjoyed it too! Merry Christmas, Bums.
Outstanding pix. Thanks for sharing!
