Bathroom shower is finally up and running properly. I installed a much bigger bilge pump that can push the water six feet up and out of the boat with ease. That along with the nice fresh water aboard again and we’ve got ourselves a semi-luxurious place on the boat to clean up.
A proper windlass fuse got installed today too. A little something to keep us from burning down the boat when the thing overheats. And also got the lazy jacks finished up. All that remains is to go up the mast to install a couple of blocks for the lines to run through. Those will make life with the mainsail infinitely easier.
Welder will have my part on Monday, refrigerator guy should be out on Monday, and the diver will be out later in the week. I still have to install my new shaft coupler which the diver will be helping me with, in addition to scraping the hull. He’ll pull the shaft all the way back so I can slip the old one off, and then push the shaft all the way forward with the new one on. The job is really that simple, but it is a two person job which is why it wasn’t done sooner.
Anyway, it feels like everything is falling into place. Albeit a month later than we’d hoped or expected when we pulled in here last time.
