Grandparents are here and the kids are happy as can be. Been spending mornings at a cafe down the street, then to the pool, and afternoons in town. I haven’t written much because I’ve been very busy running up an 11-0 cribbage record against my father-in-law.

Hooray for the mermaid tail! Its adorable and Ouest looks to be well pleased with it. Shaggy haired, surfer Lowe is just about the cutest wee boy ever.
Hi Bumfuzzle! I have been wondering what you use for the internet when you are on your boat? What do you think is the best product out there for getting the internet on a boat?
My husband and I have been watching your blog for a few years now and you have inspired us to sell everything we own and take up sailing/ motor-sailing. It is amazing how freeing it is to shed most of the junk we accumulate. Thank you for updating so often and letting your personality come through in your writing. It’s much more enjoyable to read an opinionated article than a “politically correct” article.
Here in Mexico we use a 3G card from TelCel. If there is a cell phone signal we can get internet. Works great.
As for internet while offshore, I have no idea. There is nothing available anywhere near my budget.
And hey, that’s great that you guys are looking to drop out and go sailing for a while. And yes, I’ve never heard anyone say that they felt worse after getting rid of most of their belongings. It feels great. The idea that we could load everything we own into a boat or a car and go anywhere in the world is amazingly freeing. Good luck.
Have fun with the the Grandparents. Not happy to see the grasshoppers already that big in Mexico. I guess I’ll need to get the paintball gun ready for when they end up that big here in Texas, won’t be long.
Seems like when I was a kid they were always that big in the field behind our house. Now I haven’t seen one like that in years.
Spotted something you might like for the kids, http://www.theraquatics.com/theraquatics-secret-spy-board.html , great photos.
Oh no, they’re not getting off that easy. Get your head in the water kids! 🙂
