The other day we introduced Lowe to El Pinguino. This was a toy of Ouest’s that scared the crap out of her when she was first set in front of it. Here was Lowe’s reaction. Tonight we visited friends who are leaving tomorrow for the big Pacific crossing with their … Read More

Oh we’re getting serious now. Walmart today for another ten packs of diapers in two sizes for Lowe to grow into, a million wipes, a ton of peanut butter, and a couple new toys to be stashed away for a passage day. We’re nearly gone now.

It was starting to feel as if the refrigeration would never be fixed. Two months that took, but today it was finally wrapped up. It turned out that the new compressor was slightly different than the old one so that we needed to fabricate a part for it. Then when … Read More

Started the day off feeling like some progress was being made. I finished putting the engine back together and hooking up the water heater. When I started the engine it all worked. No leaks anywhere. But then I noticed a couple drops of water underneath the engine. A closer look … Read More

We all said our goodbyes this morning. The kids enjoyed having new playmates and we enjoyed an extra set of hands now and then. But with family gone it is time to turn our attention back to the boat and to getting out of Paradise. Ouest and I went to … Read More

Did Someone Say Nap

We’ve fallen into a routine around here. Pool by ten, lunch at the pool bar a little after noon, back to our respective beds for late afternoon naps, and out to a restaurant for dinner. Hard to beat that.

We went downtown today to wander around a bit and grab lunch. This is the first time we’ve seen the completed malecon and it’s really amazing how much it changes the face of Centro Puerto Vallarta. The waterfront road that used to be the main thoroughfare is now a peaceful … Read More
