San Evaristo, Baja California Sur.
Time for another round of the family picture game, complete with strange dog.
Ouest took this while Ali said, “You’re too close!”
Our adopted for a couple of days dog spent five minutes digging a hole, shoving his nose in it, and digging some more, before he finally uncovered this crab. He then spent ten minutes antagonizing it while it scrambled down the beach.
She’s getting pretty good with power tools.
A shack built entirely of cast off pieces of wood.
We’ve been leaking steering fluid lately and I think I’ve finally tracked it down to where the steering wheel comes out of this thing. Looking at the picture now I can see that the O-ring looks a little off, though I can’t believe that’s the only thing keeping the oil in. I’ll see if I can’t somehow straighten that out and see what happens.
Also, the refrigerator did indeed work today. Don’t know whether or not I actually sealed the leak, but at least I know I can top it off every now and then to keep us running.

I have been reading your blog because I was planning a trip to Sea of Cortez. My husband and I spent April 22 through April 29 sailing on Orion, a 44 foot Cat and saw your boat at San Evaristo. You must have been ashore, otherwise I would have said hi. We had a great trip, sorry I didn’t get to meet you all.
Take care.
Sorry we missed you. Glad to hear you had a great trip.
That looks likes an oil seal and that is what they do. Plan to replace it, it will slowly get worse. JMO
