We’d had two days of rain—which is pretty crazy around here in winter, and without a hurricane nearby—and weren’t sure if we could trust the weather forecast for Ouest’s birthday, so we pushed it back a day. I love that our now six-year-old daughter is so carefree about a change in plans as big as us saying, “Happy Birthday, Baby. We’re not sure if it’s going to be sunny out today, so we’re going to celebrate tomorrow. Cool?” She literally didn’t say one word about it all day long. Maybe her whole life is a beach party?
Here’s what we did instead. And yes, it was a beautiful day after all.

Seen the picture or the infamous “Trouble Game”. Loved that game as a kid. We played it so much that the dice scratches in the popper dome made it so cloudy that we could barely read the dice anymore.
Needless to say, we got another one.

And oh, man! Trouble! I liked that game, too. Has she had a proper introduction to Battleship yet? I think that one was especially my favorite.
