We all said our goodbyes this morning. The kids enjoyed having new playmates and we enjoyed an extra set of hands now and then. But with family gone it is time to turn our attention back to the boat and to getting out of Paradise.
Ouest and I went to the marine store today to pick up a few things for finishing up a project or two. I of course bought the wrong bilge pump for the shower and will have to exchange that before that project can be officially checked off the list, but the jack lines moved one step closer to completion, so not a total waste.
I haven’t talked about potty training for at least a week, so here goes. Ouest is a champion. The days are down and now even the nights are getting close. She actually wakes me up in the middle of the night calling, “Pee, pee.” Last night after she went I slipped her back in bed and she said, “Okay. Goodnight Papa,” in her sweet dreamy four a.m. voice. The girl just melts me.
Lowe has three teeth coming in at the moment. One tooth is already through next to the top front teeth, and the two fronts are showing themselves in the gums too. The poor kid can’t get relief no matter what we do or what we give him. Oh how amazing it will be for him to move beyond the teething. Seems that’s all he’s done for the past two months. These teeth will make seven so far.
